While working as a Mortgage and Protection Adviser within a fast-paced estate agency, he grew tired of the target-driven culture. Convinced that clients deserved better, Luke searched for a firm that shared his values, but quickly realised such a place didn't exist. He knew that to see the change he believed in, he would have to create it himself.

In 2017, Luke established the company that would become Mortgage Winners, founded on a clear commitment to a mortgage experience that is personal, simple, and now completely fee-free. He aimed to build meaningful, lasting relationships and provide jargon-free clarity throughout the home-buying journey, refusing to settle for the industry's average standard.
